Since the end of the 19th century, mankind has been wiring the world. Cables, whether installed permanently or flexibly, regulate electrical goods and electronics, telecommunications services, industrial and domestic appliances. Data flows, network and voice communication are ensured by their reliable labels. Handwritten notes have long ceased to meet the highest standards. The regulations require, for example, machine-readable data, coding, resistors and tamper protection.
THERMO TRANSFER METHOD
Cables can be marked in a number of ways, depending on the application – including type or power labels, a flag or heat shrink tubing. Especially in the automotive industry, but also in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, liquids, solvents or chemicals are used. Mechanical wear and tear is also a factor to consider. Outside, the markings are exposed to weather conditions, in technical or cryogenic applications to extreme temperatures.
CAB thermal transfer printers enable maximum printable resolution – 600 dpi, high contrast and printing of images with sharp edges. So even small print can be verified by eye, and micro barcodes can be perfectly verified by a scanner. Provided the correct label and strip materials have been used, thermal print outputs remain legible during processing, testing, storage and shipping.
