Scorpion II from Tykma is a hybrid fiber laser that, thanks to its feature of choosing a pulse length between 30 and 100 ns, can mark both metal and plastic materials.
Due to the technology used and the beam with a wavelength of 1055-1075 nm, Scorpion fiber lasers achieve very similar results to older Nd-YAG lasers, but they have significant advantages, especially in the lifetime of the laser generator with a significantly longer lifetime. Light is generated by flash diodes that excite photons of light in a fiber doped with Ytterbium atoms.
