Norwix – inkjet novelty

New in our inkjet printer portfolio is the Norwix brand. This brand is distributed in Europe by Array Graphics. On the Czech and Slovak markets, representation is carried out by our company LiFTEC. These are specific HRP and TIJ printers – thermal inkjet series 2.5 and 4.0. What do these terms actually mean? The differences between them are huge, both in speed, resolution and ink consumption. Let’s take a look at these machines in order.
Norwix – HRP IM2 and IM4 printers
If you are looking for the best solution that the HRP systems market can offer, you should not forget about Norwix printers. These printers are often used to print cartons, they are great for e.g. badge of honor on drink caps. You can print with them on absorbent and non-absorbent materials, using UV curing inks.
What are the main benefits of IM2 and IM4 printers?
They are distinguished from other systems by the possibility of printing at high speeds (up to 356 m/min) with high resolution (up to 600 DPI) and low ink consumption. It is a very reliable system that uses high-quality components, e.g. print heads from the world leader, Ricoh. You can learn more about the IM2 and IM4 models on our website.
Norwix – TIJ PC22
The TIJ system is based on the use of the so-called cartridge, i.e. the ink reservoir, which is also the print head. The disadvantage of these systems in the past was that the cartridges were relatively small and if intensive printing was in use, they had to be changed often, which made the price of printing considerably higher. Norwix PC 22 machines are based on TIJ 4.0 technology, and compared to the original, widely used 2.5 technology, they boast incomparable performance. Their ink consumption is up to 6 times lower than that of a classic TIJ. In addition, the print resolution reaches an unprecedented 1200 DPI.
Who are the machines intended for?
Especially for paper mills and printers that have to print at high speeds or have the task of reprinting e.g. ecological labels for products according to new regulations and EU regulation. Thanks to Norwix machines, production can take place as efficiently as possible. More information about the Norwix PC22 can be found on our website.
Norwix – ISP
Even though the Norwix ISP is based on the TIJ 2.5 system, it still achieves considerable print speeds compared to thermal transfer printing, where the speed is limited to about 40 m/min. It is used in the food industry to mark the products themselves, but also in multi-row packages, e.g. when packaging sweeteners, drinks, coffee, etc. For this area, ISP is an ideal solution, as it allows the user to configure the machine according to the number of “lanes” of the package. The basic machine has four heads, the highest one has up to 20 heads. The maximum print speed is 152 m/min at a resolution of 150 DPI. The possibility of printing on both porous and non-porous materials is also an indisputable advantage. You can find more about Norwix ISP on our website.
